Festival d'été de Québec Gets Lady Gaga

For 11 days this July, Quebec City will host some of the music world's biggest names for the latest instalment of its annual Festival d'été de Québec. The organizers have now confirmed the names of the artists who will play this year's event from July 3 to 13.

The lineup is a mix of chart-topping mega stars, emerging indie acts and heroes of yesteryear. Performers include Lady Gaga, Queens of the Stone Age, Soundgarden, St. Vincent, A$AP Rocky, Tegan and Sara, Gogol Bordello, Cypress Hill, Snoop Dogg, the Killers, Daniel Lanois, Billy Joel, Bryan Adams, Journey, Steve Miller Band, John Mayall, Serena Ryder, Blondie, the Pretty Reckless, Young the Giant, Jake Bugg, Local Natives, Gary Clark Jr., Father John Misty, Stars, Radio Radio, Bonobo, July Talk, Royal Canoe, Noah Gundersen, San Fermin, Solids, Badbadnotgood, and many more.

These performers will appear at various outdoor stages around Quebec City (the Plains of Abraham, Parc de la Francophonie, Place D'Youville) and at a couple of indoor venues (Impérial de Québec, Le Cercle).

In addition to the aforementioned acts, the Festival d'été de Québec will include its DJ-centric ElectroFEQ series at four venues. Details for this EDM series are still forthcoming.

The first 60,000 passes will go for $68, and the rest will be sold for $78 (including taxes and service fees). They go on sale on Saturday (April 12) at noon and give access to all of the shows over the 11 days. Once these full festival passes sell out, day passes will be made available.

There are also more expensive Front Stage Zone Cards that give access to the area at the very front at the Plains of Abraham stage.

Tony Bennett: Long Awaited Lady Gaga Duets Album Coming in September

 It’s been delayed a couple of times. But that doesn’t mean anything’s wrong. Just timing. But the legend of legends Tony Bennett tells me that his jazz duets album with Lady Gaga will be released in September.

Bennett and daughter Joanna, founder of the First Time Film Festival, were guests of Kevin Spacey at last night’s annual dinner for the Museum of the Moving Image.

Tony told me the album, still called “Cheek to Cheek,” will hit stores or downloading systems, or whatever in September. The album will absolutely make the Grammy Awards deadline of September 30th. Expect to see Tony and Gaga everywhere as the new fall TV season hits.

“Cheek to Cheek” was supposed to come out this past January. Then it got pushed to March. But frankly, they had to wait until Gaga’s ARTPOP album and coming tour were out of the way. By September, ARTPOP, for better or worse, will be in the rearview mirror.

“Wait til you hear her voice,” Tony told me of Gaga last night. “She’s a real singer.”

The great crooner, still in his prime, will turn 88 years young in August. Is he on tour? “We’re always doin’ our thing,” he affirmed. He ain’t kidding! I just looked it up: Tony has at least 16 big dates scheduled between now and mid-summer. And there are more being added every day!

There is reportedly no truth to rumours suggesting that Lady Gaga is heading off to Las Vegas to headline her own permanent residency.

The ARTPOP singer was alleged by OK! in the US to be on the way to Sin City, following in the footsteps of its reigning queen Britney Spears.

The 'Toxic' hitmaker has seen sky-high ticket sales and enthusiastic reviews for her Piece Of Me stint in the Nevada city, but it seems Gaga won't be joining her soon, after all.

Did Lisa Vanderpump Ban Brandi Glanville From Lady Gaga's "G.U.Y." Music Video?

As much as we loved Lady Gaga's "G.U.Y." music video, which features the Real Housewives of Beverly Hills stars, it's definitely strange that Brandi Glanville is nowhere to be found in it. So wasLisa Vanderpump responsible for making the video Brandi-free?

In Touch reports that Lisa was adamant that Brandi not be involved in the video. "Lisa said she wouldn’t participate if Brandi was in it," says a source. "She absolutely hates Brandi and didn’t want her there."

The source adds that Lisa also wanted to be featured prominently in the video. "Lisa not only cut Brandi from the video, she also requested that she be given the biggest role," adds the insider. 

So could this rumor be true? Well, Lisa has indeed admitted that she was initially reluctant to appear in the video, given all her drama with the ladies this season. Plus, we know that Lisa and Lady Gaga have had a burgeoning friendship, so it's possible that Lisa had a bit of clout in terms of keeping Brandi out of the shoot.

Still, we're not sure what to believe, since a previous report had just blamed Brandi's absence on her busy schedule.

Chief Keef May Have Recorded Lady Gaga Collabo

Chief Keef and Lady Gaga may have taken their mutual admiration for each other to wax.

The Chicago rapper reportedly tweeted, “Got this raw ass song featuring Lady Gaga! Ooooh wee,” before quickly removing it off his timeline.


While this may seem like a random collaboration, this isn't the first time Gaga and Sosa have shared headlines. The ARTPOP songbird revealed in an interview before the AMAs back in November that she listens to a lot of music coming out of the Chicago area, specifically mentioning the Chi-town spitter himself. There's even a video of Gaga getting her makeup done to Keef's "3Hunna."

The "Fuck Rehab" rapper returned the love by tweeting, “I love Lady Gaga For Sayin She Listens to a lot of me and What's so crazy I was jus Watchin Dis redcarpet shit Like damn dis Girl fine."

Prices For Lady Gaga Tickets Rising For Upcoming ARTPOP Ball Dates

Before embarking on the ‘ARTPOP Ball’ World Tour, Lady Gaga took the stage for the final set of shows at New York City’s storied Roseland Ballroom. The last of which took place Monday night, officially closing down the venue. Lady Gaga received positive reviews for all seven shows she played over the past week and a half and her upcoming tour has seen a benefit. The tour doesn’t start until May 4, but the average price for Lady Gaga ‘ARTPOP Ball’ tickets on the secondary market have gone up 5.3% for ‘ARTPOP Ball’ since the start of the Roseland run.


The second date of the tour, April 6 at Philips Arena has seen one of the biggest increases over the past week at 9%. Lady Gaga Atlanta tickets have an average price of $247.96, 4.4% above the average tour price of $237.44. As the average price has risen above average for this date, the get-in price of $50 has remained on par with the rest of the tour.

Lady Gaga’s return to New York on May 13, this time at Madison Square Garden, is one of the more expensive concerts on the tour. Lady Gaga Madison Square Garden tickets have an average price of $338.81, 42.6% above the tour average, but still cheaper than the average price for the first night at Roseland. The price at The Garden trails only the July 19 concert at the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas that has an average secondary market price of $339.21. The get-in price for MSG is significantly higher, though, $82 compared to Las Vegas’ $50.

One of the least expensive dates in a major city comes June 30 at the TD Garden. Lady Gaga Boston tickets are 15.6% below the tour average with an average price of $200.28. The get-in price still remains slightly higher than the tour average at $57. Chicago sees the opposite problem when the tour rolls into the United Center on July 11. The average price of Lady Gaga TD Garden tickets is $327.14, but the get-in price is just a tour average $49.


The most interesting price shift across the tour occurs with two shows in Los Angeles. Lady Gaga will be playing back-to-back nights at the Staples Center on July 21 and 22. The average price for Lady Gaga Staples Center tickets for the first night is well above the tour average at $331.10 with a $52 get-in price. The first night is one of the most expensive of all dates, but the next night has just a $189.09 average price, 20% below the tour average, and an above average $57 get-in price. The July 22 show was added to the schedule after the initial demand for the first Staples Center show, allowing fans who missed out on the first show to grab a better deal on the second show. Staples Center is the only venue that will host back-to-back nights on the tour. It’s likely the prices for both concerts will even out as the dates get closer.

Lady Gaga won’t be playing any more club-like venues for the upcoming dates, but her performances at Roseland have added interest to her upcoming arena performances.
